Privé (Chijmes)
$16.00

There are two branches of Privé, one at Chijmes and the other at the Marina Keppel Bay. Both have slightly different opening hours during the week and offer up slightly different menu options.

At Chijmes, they offer both Eggs Benedict ($16) and Eggs Royale ($16) as part of their all-day breakfast menu which is served from 11:30am to 5pm on weekdays and 10am to 5pm at weekends and public holidays.

Their Eggs Benedict is served on a toasted English muffin, with smoked leg of ham and streaky bacon sitting beneath two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce accompanied by rocket lettuce and a balsamic dressing.

Their Eggs Royale is served on smoked Norwegian salmon, with baby spinach, two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce.

  • A couple of friends had recommended the Privé Eggs Benedict and so I was keen to see how it rated. The ham and streaky bacon on top of the toasted English muffin base were delicious. Both eggs were well poached to the point where the yoke remained a little runny and the flavours combined well with the rocket salad. The glazed hollandaise sauce was lacking a little in flavour which was really the only downside to what was otherwise very good dish.
