Roadhouse
$24.00

Roadhouse at Dempsey is an American-style modern diner which offers a wide variety of burgers, including the option to BYOB (build your own burger). The Classic and Signature categories contain 8 burger choices ($21-33++) served with a 170g Josper-grilled wagyu beef patty, homemade sesame buns, coleslaw, and fries (add $2 for truffle fries). The Usual Suspect category includes 4 non-beef burgers such as the Pulled Pork ($22++), Prawn Star ($24++), Fisn n Chips in a Bun ($22++), and the vegetarian I Can't Believe It's Not Meat ($20++).

Those wanting something more creative can build their own burger ($16++) by choosing their own meat (170g) and adding extras, cheeses, sauces, and sides.

Adventurous diners can attempt the Terminator Challenge ($58++), featuring 6 wagyu beef patties, 6 slices of cheese, streaky bacon, jalapenos, and chilis alongside their coleslaw and fries. Finishing this within 20 minutes makes the meal free and earns you a spot on their 'Wall of Fame'.

  • Strangely enough, the "burger" I enjoy most at Roadhouse is the fish burger which consists of a battered, fried fish fillet topped with tartar sauce in a bun. It's like fish and chips in a bun!

  • I went for the Bacon Marinated Burger ($26) which had a thick, beefy patty that was pretty good but slightly on the tough side. The generous toppings, however, more than made up for it. The bacon was just a tad crispy yet quite tasty, and the best part was by far the awesome grilled onions and especially the melted gorgonzola cheese which added some great flavors to the burger. The bun was toasty yet normal and the fries (+$2 for truffle) were light on the truffle aroma but still pretty nice.
