Portuguese Egg Tart @ Macau Restaurant
$9.00

HKD per piece

These Portuguese Egg tarts are literally the first and last thing I eat in Hong Kong on just about every trip. At $9 HKD a piece, I rarely buy any less than 5 at a time and even then it may not be enough. Hands down my favorite food - snack or otherwise - in Hong Kong and the first thing I think of when I touch down at the airport.

  • They also serve Malaysian curry beef brisket here, but I'd go for Tsui Wah's just a few shops down for this dish instead. Stick to the po-tat here!

  • Seriously the best Portuguese egg tarts I've had. No trip to Hong Kong is complete without them, and friends from HK know this is the only thing I'll ask for when they visit me in SG.
