The Long Way by Bernard Moitessier

Incredible depiction of a Frenchman's efforts to win the first ever single handed sailing race around the world. The twist at the end of the tale is both refreshing and gratifying.

  • I read this book while sailing across the Atlantic so could quickly relate to the trials and tribulations of sailing solo around the world. Bernard Moitessier's tale proves that he is of a different breed to most!
