While not technically a restaurant, the Gold Class theatre of Golden Village (Katong I12, not sure about the others) has arguably my favorite fries in Singapore. They aren't truffled nor shoestring, but they are done perfectly every time with a ridiculously crispy shell and amazingly soft inside. They're $8++ so it comes out to just under $9.50, which makes it a good deal given the location IMHO. If only we didn't need to buy an expensive movie ticket to order these, I'd be there every day!

Pro tip: if you watch a movie on Mondays - Wednesdays, the tickets are $10 cheaper to $29 each.
