The Lim Family favorite and a place we've been frequenting from literally before I was born (the waitresses knew me when I was still in my mother's tummy), I probably eat here on average once every week or two. They have a traditional Singaporean seafood menu, but my favorites would be: lala hor fun, fong sha kai, salt baked crab, 3 egg spinach. This is a must-visit any time a relative comes from overseas, and one of the favorites of both local and visiting friends. Price typically comes out to roughly $40-50 SGD / pax.

  • Though I personally prefer the salt baked crab, the chili crab is also another favorite of friends and family (plus, it is a Singaporean staple dish). If you order it, you *MUST* order some mantau (fried bread buns) to dip in the chili sauce.

  • Lala hor fun - flat noodles in a thick sauce with some veggies, clams (lala), and prawns. They also fry some of the noodles and mix it in, which gives the dish an amazing crispy yet mushy texture that goes really well with the sauce.
