Golf Courses on the Mornington Peninsula

Golf Courses on the Mornington Peninsula

A couple of friends and I ventured down to the Mornington Peninsula over the Chinese New Year holiday in 2015. The Mornington Peninsula is blessed with a large number of fantastic links golf courses and sits just one hour's drive south of Melbourne.

  • St Andrews Beach $74.00

209 Sandy Rd, Fingal VIC 3941, Australia
A fantastic public course which is an excellent test of your links golfing capabilities. Worth hiring a buggy if you are not a happy walker as the course is quite widely laid out. The clubhouse is quaint but has a good terrace for a well earned beer at the end of your round.

  • Sorrento Golf Course $120.00

    Langford Road, Sorrento VIC 3943
Private course but accessible to the public during weekdays. Tucked away towards the end of the Mornington Peninsula, this course is well kept and has a little more of a parkland feel compared to a number of its more links-like neighbours.

  • The Dunes $65.00

335 Browns Rd., Rye VIC 3941
Beautiful public golf course with a lovely club house. The course has a great deal of character and also offers a separate nine hole course for those not wanting to take on the challenging signature course.

  • Moonah Links $95.00

55 Peter Thomson Drive, Fingal, Victoria
A fantastic 36 hole complex with both the Open course and Legends course. Designed by Australia's most decorated golfer, Peter Thompson, the Open course has been used as the venue for a number of championships over the years. The clubhouse provides lots of catering options alongside some great memorabilia from the past.
