This route is not as bad as Wilson Trail though. I really liked this trail, can try it with Xixi.

Download the app "hiking in hk". It costs a few bucks but totally worth it; provides pretty detailed profile of all the hikes in hong kong.

Haha you're right - this is a super popular trail. So my boss had us walk it with her on a Wednesday afternoon. It was beautiful, and quiet - what a way to spend the work day!
