My Favorite Sweet Tooth Indulgences

I live for my sweets and desserts. These are my favorite treats to have in Singapore and around the world.

  • Harrods Chocolate Hazelnuts

One of the best chocolates I've had. The 3 types of chocolate coatings offer some variety of taste while the hazelnut core gives a very satisfying finale to each piece. If one could buy this in Singapore, you can bet I'd have a never-ending stash of these things.

Thank you for taking me here!! The cotton candy blue ice cream was so cool to eat. I'll definitely try your fave next time!

  • Krispy Kreme Donuts

Nomnomnom. Whenever I see a Krispy Kreme, I know I've got to get myself one, or many. Its probably a good thing that they don't have KK in Hong Kong!

Love the original glaze. Very strange that in Singapore, they don't give out free donuts like how they do overseas (i've been to outlets in US, Australia, Hong Kong, Korea & Dubai). Not that I am a scrooge, but sometimes I just stand around the counter and they will be giving out free full-sized original glazed (best ever) for the people who are standing around. I would be more enticed to buy more if that happened to me!

  • Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies

Milano Cookies are a great way to treat myself to something special. I'm not sure if its due to being a bit costlier or because the cookies seem 'classy', but I usually force myself to stop after having 2 or 3 pieces, which is rare when it comes to sweets. Its not that I don't want more - I can easily finish a pack (15 biscuits) in a sitting - but rather I want to save some to look forward to have the next day. Definitely a favorite since childhood.

  • Royce Nama Champagne Chocolates

I just bought 1 box from Narita airport before boarding the plane to Singapore. :) Love them to bits!! Do note that they are made from fresh cream from Hokkaido, so they don't keep long (~1 month) and must be refridgerated.

  • Java Chip Frappe @ Starbucks

I'm not a coffee person but oh do I love my frozen, sweet, chocolatey drinks. The Java Chip Frappe at Starbucks is my go-to choice for getting in the mood, be it a breakfast replacement or after-meal indulgement. Love the mix of chocolate flavor, whipped cream, and little chocolate chunks to chew on.

  • Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream

The ice cream here is seriously perfect, especially the Chocolate Devotion. Love the sticky texture and how the mixins compliment the flavor. Definitely for the sweet-tooth and non-calorie shy folks, but if you're gonna give yourself a treat, nothing else can compare.

  • Shiroi Koibito Hokkaido Biscuits

I love these little biscuits and so does pretty much everyone else. The light texture goes well with the subtle chocolate taste.

  • Royce Nama Champagne Chocolates

Hands down, these are some of my favorite chocolates. The soft, melt in your mouth texture coupled with being refrigerated cold is an awesome combination on the taste buds. I can easily finish an entire box on my own in one go :P

  • Krispy Kreme Donuts

When I was younger I loved Krispy Kreme in the 'states, perhaps due to the standalone shops with the conveyer belt which you could track your donut being made from a ball of dough to getting glazed and then eating that exact one hot off the press. Now that it is available in Singapore, it is still good but isn't the dream dessert it once was. I'll still have a couple donuts without hesitation, but probably won't have 6 at a time anymore :)

Xixi got me a box of the Bitter Nama Chocolates last night so I could try something new. Turned out to be a lot better than I thought - the great texture and overall taste of the champagnes is still there, just the initial cocoa powder and slight aftertaste is a tad more bitter (as expected). Overall, surprisingly good considering I don't really like bitter nor dark chocolate.

@Aaron if you like ice cream that is stickier in texture, try Swensen's Sticky Chewy Chocolate!
