Xixi got me a box of the Bitter Nama Chocolates last night so I could try something new. Turned out to be a lot better than I thought - the great texture and overall taste of the champagnes is still there, just the initial cocoa powder and slight aftertaste is a tad more bitter (as expected). Overall, surprisingly good considering I don't really like bitter nor dark chocolate.
@steffdarling - ooh I do like Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie, but I think the Chocolate Devotion at Cold Stone is a bit 'stickier' in texture which I like. But its like saying one is amazing and the other is amazing plus 1 - both are great! Will try out the others!
Can I suggest you give Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie or Awfully Chocolate's Hei ice cream a try. You won't regret! Those get a vote from me for best chocolate ice cream. For gelato, try Gelataria Italia for the Dark Rocher!
@steffdarling - if it was me, that box would have been finished before the plane took off! Haha. I usually just get it at Ion or Takashimaya basement and it doesn't last more than a night or two :P
When I was younger I loved Krispy Kreme in the 'states, perhaps due to the standalone shops with the conveyer belt which you could track your donut being made from a ball of dough to getting glazed and then eating that exact one hot off the press. Now that it is available in Singapore, it is still good but isn't the dream dessert it once was. I'll still have a couple donuts without hesitation, but probably won't have 6 at a time anymore :)
One of the best chocolates I've had. The 3 types of chocolate coatings offer some variety of taste while the hazelnut core gives a very satisfying finale to each piece. If one could buy this in Singapore, you can bet I'd have a never-ending stash of these things.
Love the original glaze. Very strange that in Singapore, they don't give out free donuts like how they do overseas (i've been to outlets in US, Australia, Hong Kong, Korea & Dubai). Not that I am a scrooge, but sometimes I just stand around the counter and they will be giving out free full-sized original glazed (best ever) for the people who are standing around. I would be more enticed to buy more if that happened to me!
Milano Cookies are a great way to treat myself to something special. I'm not sure if its due to being a bit costlier or because the cookies seem 'classy', but I usually force myself to stop after having 2 or 3 pieces, which is rare when it comes to sweets. Its not that I don't want more - I can easily finish a pack (15 biscuits) in a sitting - but rather I want to save some to look forward to have the next day. Definitely a favorite since childhood.
