Best Lemon Meringue Pies in Hong Kong

Best Lemon Meringue Pies in Hong Kong

It's springtime in Hong Kong, but sometimes, it just feels a whole lot like a lovely British summer. I'm done with my winter-hibernating days of eating fudgey ass chocolate cakes or rich ass mof' cheesecakes. It's time for some fruity, citrus-ey, sweet dessert-y goodness! Here's a list of the best lemon meringue pies you can find in Hong Kong. Bring on summer!

  • Eat It $45.00

    9 Kingston Street, Causeway Bay
You can get this delicious little one from the dessert station.

Going to that dessert station is like taking a kid into the toy store. You want EVERYTHING. But don't let the chocolate cakes fool you (there are like, at least 5 types of chocolate cake there). I was captured by it's bubbly lookin' puff of a meringue and damn, that crust looked like a flaky, buttery perfection. I needed it in my belly.

  • Jamie's Italian $85.00

    TUTTI FRUTTI LEMON MERINGUE PIE

I'm still not a huge fan of Jamie's Italian itself (overpriced, overrated, etc.), but I do like their desserts. This is definitely quite a delicious little number. The meringue itself is so soft and so light, you feel like you're on a cotton candy cloud. Not too sweet, not too sour - just right. Like the baby bear's porridge when Goldilocks ate that shiz. Oh and it's got these delightful little limoncello and crunchy pistachio brittle - just gives it an extra kick!

  • Restoration (KEY LIME PIE) $58.00

63 Wyndham Street, Central, Hong Kong
Ok, not exactly a lemon meringue pie, but if we're talkin' best KEY LIME PAHHHH in the 852, you gotta go to Restoration. The Weeknd was probably singing about that pahhh in his 50 shades of grey song. Cuz pahh you're perfect...always worth it...

I think I went a little nuts just thinking about it. The last time I had this pie, was more than half a year ago, and it still gives me the chills.
