A neighbourhood is never as exciting if it lacks a few trendy bars to hang out in. Jalan Besar might not strike you as having a vibrant bar scene but that makes it all the more pleasurable when you do scratch the surface.
Tucked within the Kam Leng Hotel, this cosy little bar and restaurant is famous for its Suprette Burger. They also make an excellent selection of cocktails, have a cool playlist, and serve good pints of Asahi on tap.
Rustic microbrewery which features their very own brewing tanks behind the bar. Also renowned for the excellent espresso martini they whip up. The second floor is setup as a dedicated restaurant in-keeping with the same laid back style.
Prides itself on the broad choice of craft beers which it serves up on tap. Neatly tucked away in an old Chinese Druggist Association building which certainly adds to the charm and allure of discovering what's inside.
Excellent venue for a date. Sits inside a converted garage and it looks amazing at night given its open frontage. Japanese themed food and beer to match under candlelight.
