  • Twin Palms, Phuket, Thailand

106/46 Moo 3, Surin Beach Road, Choeng Thale, thalang, Phuket 83110, Thailand
This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway from Singapore - beautiful hotel, excellent service, great food and a huge swimming pool. It is also within walking distance of Surin beach which is lovely. It is quite a developed area so don't go there expecting deserted beaches, but perfect if you need a couple of days out of Singapore to chill out and unwind.

  • Karma Kandara, Bali

Jl. Villa Kandara, Banjar Wijaya Kusuma, Ungasan, Bali 80362, Indonesia
This hotel is a gem - set in the very southern tip of Bali, it is really easy to get to from the airport and perfect for a 2 day weekend getaway with friends or family. Each group of guests has their own villa (either 2,3 or 4 bedroom villas) with a private pool. The hotel is set on a cliff top with stunning views and a lift taking you down to the beach. Make sure you check out Finns Beach club - a great lunch spot with fantastic seafood and rose!

  • Batu Batu, Mersing, Malaysia

    Tengah island, Mersing, Malaysia
If you are looking for a tropical island getaway - this is the place to go. White sand beaches, pristine clear waters, and wonderful rustic villa's, this is a very special and unique little island. It is around a 3 hour journey by car from Singapore to Mersing then you get a ferry across to the island. Worth taking an extra day off on the Friday so you can fully appreciate the island and unwind - not sure it is worth going for only 2 days. It quite a family focused place so perfect if you have babies or young kids or parents in tow.

  • Kamandalu, Ubud, Bali

Jalan Raya Andong, Banjar Nagi, Petulu, Ubud, Bali 80571, Indonesia
Kamandalu is set in the midst of lush green rice padi fields, about 10 minutes outside of Ubud. It is a lovely hotel and perfect place for proper chill time. Would highly recommend hiring bicycles and exploring the surrounding area to see a bit of local life. If you are going for a room rather than a villa, make sure you ask for the upstairs ones as they are much nicer.

  • Seven Seas, Koh Kradan, nr Krabi, Thailand

    Koh Kradan, Trang, Thailand
Koh Kradan is by far the most stunning and unspoilt island I have been to in Thailand. Seven Seas is one of the best places to stay on the island, with lovely villas. If you have cash to splash go for one of the beach villas overlooking the water, but if on a tighter budget the rooms are very nice and a fraction of the price. The hotel is quite simple, and unpretentious, service was a little hit and miss but the food was delicious. The sea is stunningly clear, as you walk into the water, you are instantly surrounded by hordes of black and yellow tropical fish. It is not the easiest place to get to (which probably helps deter the crowds) - you need to fly to Krabi, travel 2 hours overland then get a boat to the island. Is however definitely worth the effort. I would advise going here for a long weekend, ideally 3 - 4 days if you really want to enjoy it.
