Favourite brunch spots in South West London

While back in London I enjoyed catching up with friends in a few of my favourite brunch venues.

  • The Troubadour

263 Old Brompton Road, Earls Court
One of London's most famous cafe's, it is also renowned as a legendary live music venue with the who's who of rock and roll frequenting their basement over the past 60 years. A quirky and laid back venue which was hip before hipsters came into fashion. They serve food all day although I've most often used it as a brunch venue for either its Full House Breakfast or The Reviver Breakfast. There is a cosy and quaint garden tucked in at the rear of the building for those wanting to sit outside away from the main road.

  • Hudson's

    113 Lower Richmond Road, Putney
This venue has a traditional English look and feel to both it's exterior and interior. A friendly restaurant which serves food throughout the day. I recommend their English breakfast which is served with free-range eggs and all the trimmings. Washed down well with a good flat white coffee and very reasonably priced.

  • Brew

342 Old York Road, Wandsworth Town
I dropped into their Wandsworth Town branch but there are three other options across South West London in Clapham, Putney and Wimbledon. Brew has a cosy and artisanal feel to it serving up delicious brunch options with fresh ingredients. I went for their smashed avocado, sour cream, and chorizo on sourdough bread with a carrot, apple, ginger and celery juice which was a delicious combination.

  • Megan's Cafe

    571 King's Road, Chelsea
Quaint looking coffee shop from the street level which conceals their amazing and cosy garden that sits down the stairs at the rear of the building. They serve a hearty English breakfast, excellent croissants, healthy fruit juices, and good coffee.
