  • Skyve Wine Bistro

The Skyve Beef Burger ($25) is exactly what I want in a great gourmet burger. The bun is well toasted yet fluffy making for a lovely texture, with the cheese melted into it. The patty is thick, juicy, and tender, and while not super flavorful on its own is nicely complimented by the slightly crispy and salty bacon. The generous portion of truffle fries was crispy yet soft for a fantastic texture, with a faint truffle aroma which I enjoyed. The meal’s overall serving size is perfect.

  • Two Blur Guys

I had the Prime Beef w/ Streaky Bacon Burger ($17.95) and really enjoyed the meal. The patty was pretty thick and literally dripping with juice, and while it was a bit chewy the taste and texture were very enjoyable. The cheese was good and the bacon was a nice compliment as always. The truffle mayo, however, pushed the burger from good to great! The potato salad and greens were nothing special, but the burger made up for it. The overall size of the burger is good - not huge but just nice.

  • Suprette

A local favorite for me as well, what's more Supette as a restaurant is a warming , relaxed place to spend a little time whether having a bite to eat with friends or simply on your own

  • The Chop House

A friend and I ordered the BBQ Beef, Bacon, & Cheddar Burger ($29) and were pleasantly surprised when it came - it is a BIG burger. The toppings were very generous and enjoyable with tasty bacon and a ton of melted cheese. The patty was very thick and pretty juicy, and while the meat itself wasn't overly flavorful nor tender (cooked medium), the combination of size, ingredients, and BBQ sauce made for a very satisfying meal. The tater tots were served perfectly and made for a great side dish.

  • Omakase Burger

I'm no burger connoisseur but this one at Omakase is one of the better ones I've had. The patty is fresh and juicy, and the size is just right for a tiny eater like me. Price wise... I think it's a little pricy for a fast food joint. Overall, enjoyable! I'd definitely visit Omakase again :)

  • OverEasy

Was a little surprised that Overeasy serves gourmet burgers, and even more surprised that they are quite good at it. The meat was juicy and firm, reinforced by the moist bun. My disappointment is their size, being a big eater that I am. I ordered "Double trouble", but it was definitely easier to handle than its name suggests. I'm expecting "triple trouble" the next time.

  • db Bistro & Oyster Bar

On my first bite into The Original db Burger ($42) the braised beef stuffing amazed me with its fantastic flavor and texture, complimenting the huge, juicy sirloin patty very well. However, while the foie gras filling contributed a lot to the cost, it's subtlety didn't add much to the taste. The burger is perfectly sized alongside a generous serving of crispy fries, which is appreciated in an upscale joint like this. All in, I think the burger is worth the premium and I'd gladly have it again.

  • The Black Swan

I really like the atmosphere of this restaurant which is buzzing at lunch times during the week. Their set menu is a favourite of mine for working lunches and I tend to go for the Black Swan Burger when visiting towards the end of a busy week. They don't try to over complicate the burger and the ingredients they use are fresh and delicious, particularly the beef itself. Well worth visiting for this dish alone.

  • Suprette

Favourite burger in my local neighbourhood. Really juicy beef that goes well with the toasted bun. I tend to go in the evening for the Suprette Burger and enjoy the green salad and free-flow fries that comes with it for a slightly more expensive $25++.

  • The Black Swan

The mood and setting in The Black Swan is very Great Gatsby-esque (aka awesome) which makes for an ironic yet befitting home for a fantastic gourmet burger. The bun and ingredients are fresh and of high quality while the meat itself is very flavorful and juicy - sink your teeth into it and you'll see why the $30++ price point is justified. The burger as a whole was greatly satisfying, though unfortunately the fries weren't anything special.

  • PS. Cafe

One of the first gourmet burgers that I laid my hands on in Singapore. It makes for one heck of a feast so best to have an empty stomach before approaching it. Really juicy beef which is well complemented by the melted cheese. The deep-fried onions didn't do much for me (would have preferred them caramelised) and I was not able to make my way through the extremely healthy portion of chips. An enjoyable burger although I;m now keen to try their Chargrilled Portobello option.

  • Fresh Fruits Lab

I had Da Bomb Burger ($19) which had a nicely toasted bun that was quite dense. The patty is very, very thick with a strong beefy and salty flavor, and a chewy texture that wasn't tender nor tough. The thick bacon was fairly salty but was offset a bit by the soft egg, while the greens below attempted to round out tastes but were mostly overwhelmed by the patty and bacon. The shoestring fries were decently good and the fruit salad was tangy and refreshing.

  • Burp Kitchen & Bar

I chose the Crabby Patty which consisted of brioche bun, battered soft shell crab, salted egg yolk sauce and coleslaw. The brioche was soft and tasty so thumbs up for that. The soft shell crab was crispy but it was still hard to digest( shells + burger) hmmmm... Maybe not such a great idea. Here comes the salted egg yolk sauce which I thought was a tad sweet. Perhaps, if it was a little more savoury than sweet I would have enjoyed it more. Overall, still a pretty good burger.

  • Jones the Grocer

The Jones Classic Wagyu Burger ($26) had a slightly chewy patty with a nice beef taste, but a bit on the tough side. The truffle mayo was the best part with a nice aroma and flavor, while the crispy bacon, caramelized onions, and cheese was good too. The sauces and pickles were tangy, but the bun was quite dense and dense causing a dry feeling. The fries were quite average and not crispy, and the coleslaw was decent but a touch heavy on the dressing. A decent yet fairly normal burger.

  • Fatboy’s The Burger Bar

Liked this venue - real American diner feel. I had the Fat Ba*tard Burger which was big and very tasty if not 'gourmet' quality. Quantity rather that quality here. Was not so impressed with the fries but overall a good/3 stars experience

  • Bread Street Kitchen

I had the BSK Burger ($28) whose juicy short-rib beef patty had a very nice yet subtle beef taste. The thick bun was neither too soft nor dense, with a fluffy spongy feel and small hints of buttery flavor. Other than that however, the overall taste was very light which led to a rather plain experience. The fries were crispy with a great texture and decent taste.

I'd love a bit more flavor on this burger to help out the great patty, but those who prefer subtle tastes may enjoy it the way it is

  • SEAR

I had the SEAR Wagyu Burger with the 3-course set lunch ($44) and was expecting a lot for the price ($5 more than the grilled Wagyu steak option). The patty is quite tender with a light beef taste, but it wasn't very thick nor flavorful. The toppings were refreshingly tangy - I tasted tomato and avocado amongst other ingredients - while the bun was soft, slightly dense, and quite normal. The shoestring fries were crispy and great. Overall a good burger, but nothing too special given the cost.

  • Jack Ripper

I had the Ripper's Classic ($16) and added crispy bacon and caramelized onion ($1.50 ea). The bun was soft, with a light texture and a nice but faint taste. The patty was also soft, with a slightly mushy feel and subtle beef taste. The cheese, bacon, and onions helped to add some flavor but they weren't too strong in taste either. The fries were a bit crispy but mostly average. The overall burger was enjoyable and has potential, though I would have appreciated a bit more flavor or saltiness.

  • MeatLiquor SIN

Loved the atmosphere and location of this relatively new venue in town. I went for their Dead Hippie Burger ($22) and enjoyed the meat and the flavours but it didn't live up to the hype. There are definitely better burgers in Singapore but I'd go back for the atmosphere alone.

  • Ollie Cafe

I had the Muddy Burger ($19.90) which was big and very messy. The beef patty is thick though quite generic in texture and taste. There was a strong nacho cheese flavor which had hints of truffle, crispy nacho chips and fresh guacamole & greens for unique textures & tastes, and tangy tomato chili which was rich but not overpowering. The soft bun was easy to miss, but the seasoned fries were great - very crispy, excellent texture & a touch of truffle. Overall a rich and filling meal w/ good value.
