Sister restaurant to Lucha Loco in Duxton, this place has great atmosphere and does fab mexican street food and cocktails. Am a big fan of the ceviche de mango and tostados de cerdo. The passionfruit smashito's are a winner too. Great spot for dates and a fun night out with friends.

An Aussie restaurant / sports bar. 'Boomers' is a great brunch spot. Excellent breakfast menu, fantastic burgers, salads and grilled meats. Very informal and relaxed, perfect for big groups and families. Lots of big TV screens so ideal if you are a sports fanatic and want to catch the latest sports game with a group of friends.

25 Mohammed Sultan Road

This is the best steak restaurant I have been to in Singapore by a mile! The beef is literally to die for! Recommend sharing the Costata or Fiorentina which are mouthwateringly good. They also have a one for one BYO policy on wine - so if you buy one of their bottles you can bring your own and drink it for free with no corkage charge. This is a pretty expensive place so I'd highly recommend saving it for a special occasion!

Nice french restaurant - good spot for decent steak and chips. Has great outside sitting area, overlooking the river. Good option if want a red meat (and wine) fix but don't want to break the bank in the process!

Fun thai restaurant along Rob Quay, near to Super Loco. Good quality thai food and decent atmosphere. Big fan of their beef panaeng curry which is delicious. Also recommend trying the crab betel leaves which are very tasty.
