  • Step 2: Get passport photos done

    I used a site called 123 Passport Photo - http://www.123passportphoto.com.

Take a photo of your baby on a white background - I used a towel - no toys, parents hands etc. The baby does not have to have eyes open, but we managed to get that.

Go to the website and it is all fairly straightforward. You can then take the photos to a photo shop and print out.

  • Step 1: Birth Certification

After the birth, you will be brought an official form as well as another form for you to complete name details etc. Most hospitals in Singapore then have a north registration counter. You have 14 days to visit that counter and register the baby's birth. It is a very smile process and cost me SGD45. You apparently have the option to request copies of the birth certificate
