Hong Kong, being a short 4 hour flight from Singapore, is a regular destination for long weekends to visit friends and family. One of the main attractions is the amazing food - here are some of my favorites!
Snake soup - yes, snake. Despite my attempts at avoiding this dish, peer pressure prevailed and quite surprisingly I enjoyed the dish. Doesn't taste any different than similar looking soups, and is apparently quite good for you.
Highly recommend the truffle fried taro - its like a chinese rendition of truffle fries, with some sort of sweet sauce. We cleaned this plate out super fast.
Gyu Jin strikes a fantastic balance of quality meat with a very good price. Opting for the $250 HKD-ish buffet, you'll get great cuts of beef and pork without breaking the bank. Add in free flow of drinks and Haagen Daz ice cream, and it is a truly amazing value.
