The Strawberry Fields milkshake ($10) is a great breakfast substitute with fresh strawberries, granola, bananas, and honey. The flavor is excellent and it's worth the price: basically an awesome meal-in-a-cup.

Top up $2 for a mango lassi that has just the right amount of thickness and sweetness. Will definitely get it again!

I'd highly recommend the root beer floats ($3.90) as a nice drink to enjoy with your meal.

The fried fish & chips meal ($10.50) wasn't what I was hoping for (was craving more of a crispy beer battered fish & chips style).

The individual sets are a great value at $5-6, and include a good amount of both rice and meat to make for a fulfilling meal. The garlic pork (pictured), diced basil pork/chicken/beef, and green curry chicken fried rice are my favorites.

I love mango sticky rice, and both Diandian Leluk and Beerthai offer a great rendition of it for about $6.

On the 2nd storey of the hawker centre is a juice stall called Shiok Naturals (on the corner closest to the bathrooms). They have a load of various smoothie options combining fresh fruits to create unique flavors, at usually $2.50 a pop. My favorite is the strawberry & peach smoothie, which has warranted many trips to the Golden Mile Hawker Centre - even when we already ate lunch elsewhere.

I was amazed when I saw that there was a stall selling Portuguese egg tarts here. It is hard enough finding a place serving this favorite dish of mine in Singapore, and to have one in a hawker centre - across the street from my office at that - was truly exciting. Unfortunately, it wasn't as crispy nor flavorful as I was hoping for. I'll need to revisit sometime to see it was perhaps a one-off batch.

Just found out that Marche has different set lunch options for each weekday, and one of Wednesday's options was 'Traditional Swiss rosti w/ tomato, cheese, & parma ham' with a homemade drink/soft drink - all for just $10.90+. A fantastic value and of course, the rosti was great as usual.

The 'Chocolate Alexander w/ Ice Cream' aka chocolate lava cake was pretty good for the $7 price. Not a huge portion nor was it super oozy, but it made up for it in taste. Very nice chocolatey taste and though the exterior was a bit harder than most variants, it was very good nonetheless.

First time trying the baby back ribs ($60 for a full rack). We were wayyy too stuffed from the beef to fully enjoy these, but they were quite good nonetheless. Nice texture and great sauce. Would suggest getting a half rack to try out and/or not overdose on the beef/fried rice beforehand.

Foie Gras Satay @ $7 a stick is an amazing deal! Three chunks per stick that are super delicious and sinful... no wonder my cholesterol is skyrocketing!
