We chose one of the most renowned restaurants, Sushi Dai. The queue was about 2 hours and we were incredibly lucky to barely make the cut to be in the very last sitting of customers for lunch. It was all worth it!

Whist larger than Ootanino and operating at a much faster pace (30-45 mins per seating), Sushi Dai still felt quite intimate and the chefs were great fun. The quality of sushi was still excellent, and it is definitely a value for your money.

Xixi opted for the 7 piece Omakase ($2,600 JPY) while I went for the 11 piece Omakase ($4,000 JPY). Mine came with an extra serving at the end of whatever I liked. While initially I thought the ootoro was the obvious choice, given how expensive it typically is, the lean tuna was so great that I just had to have another bite.

The atmosphere was a nice mix of traditional Japanese and modern Western, which mirrored the mix of customers.

We were very grateful for Andrew, Dennis, Buerge, and Jun (who arranged everything) to come out and meet us after all these years. It was a great chance for Xixi to meet them for the first time as well. We're looking forward to our next trip out there to see them again!

Breakfast came in the form of takeaway boxes from the Daimaru supermarket. If only we had options like this at supermarkets here.

Here's something you don't see very often in Tokyo - an empty train. We headed to DisneySea at around noon, much later than most recommend, but luckily were able to do and see everything that we wanted.

The wait times throughout the park were super short compared to what we were expecting. Granted, it was a Tuesday, but it was also one during Japan's Golden Week Holiday.

One of the themes of the park was having different flavored popcorn stands to go with the various areas of the park. We tried out milk tea, curry, caramel, salted, and soda popcorn.

Journey to the Center of the Earth was hyped as the best ride at Tokyo DisneySea, and it definitely lived up to the name. A great progression of pacing from a leisurely ride through the fantasy world to culminating to an adrenaline filled finale. It was good enough to warrant being the only ride we went on twice.

The park closed with a spectacular choreographed light, water, and firework show in their bay.

The quality (and price!) of the meat in Tokyo is ridiculous. At the Yokosuka Port Market.

Japanese strawberries are by far the sweetest, most delicious strawberries that we've ever had. As soon as we took our first bite, we went back to the supermarket to buy more.
