  • The List in How to find Programmers in Singapore

A good friend of mine put me in touch with The List shortly after I joined the startup scene in Singapore. I've been to a couple of their events which provide an excellent means for networking. Like all such events, it can be tough to find exactly what you're looking for on the technical side of things but well worth checking out.

  • Jones the Grocer (Mandarin Gallery) in The Ultimate Guide to Eggs Benedict in Singapore

I chose the Benedict Breakfast ($22) and enjoyed its presentation. The english muffin was thin and well toasted. The eggs were well poached and of good quality. I thought the ham was delicious and I enjoyed its combination with the serving of spinach. Unfortunately, I found the hollandaise sauce to be a little buttery and lacking any distinctive flavour which was a real shame. The side salad was fresh but could have done with some dressing.

  • The Clueless Goat in The Ultimate Guide to Eggs Benedict in Singapore

I really enjoyed the handmade feel to this cafe which was exemplified when the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon arrived on their own homemade ceramic plate. The eggs were of average quality but were well poached. The multi-grain toast made for a refreshing change from a more traditional english muffin or brioche base. The smoked salmon came as a healthy serving and was of good quality. The hollandaise sauce had a good consistency and rich flavour. I also enjoyed the additional side salad.

  • Pitch Anything by Oren Klaff in Stuff Startup Founders Need

I have a background in asset management sales and have always been a little skeptical of "evangelists" focused on the subject of selling/closing. I did, however, enjoy watching the interview in the link provided in the description above - some interesting/useful concepts in creating the perceived scarcity of what you are looking to sell.

  • Arteastiq Tea House in The Ultimate Guide to Eggs Benedict in Singapore

In keeping with the opulent style of this venue, their Aphrodite Crabcake Benedict was well presented. I wasn't sure what to make of the crabcake addition to this traditional dish but ended up enjoying the richness of flavour. The eggs were slightly under poached for my liking but of good quality. Their hollandaise sauce blended well with the overall flavours and I enjoyed the addition of asparagus.

  • Boufe Boutique Cafe in The Ultimate Guide to Eggs Benedict in Singapore

I went for the Eggs Benedict ($16) and really enjoyed their deliciously fresh brioche base. The eggs were well poached and of good quality. I enjoyed their creamy hollandaise sauce and the side salad with balsamic dressing. Being a little bit of a ham snob, I didn't think it matched the otherwise high quality of the dish but I very much enjoyed the overall experience.

  • Symmetry Cafe in The Ultimate Guide to Eggs Benedict in Singapore

I really like the atmosphere and setting of this cafe. I went for the Symmetry Eggs Benedict ($22) and really enjoyed the presentation of the dish on their signature granite themed plates. The eggs were of good quality but a little under poached for my liking. I enjoyed the bacon and sauteed mushrooms alongside the toasted english muffins. The hash brown on the side didn't do very much for me although I enjoyed the side salad. Their glazed hollandaise sauce was not deep enough in flavour.

I'd not previously been to Bishan Park and really enjoyed the setting and style of this cafe. I went for their Eggs Benedict Grande ($19) and really enjoyed the serrano ham, fried mushrooms and side salad that came with a pesto dressing. The eggs were well poached but of average quality, and the hollandaise sauce looked great but was a little lacking in a distinct flavour.

  • Craftsmen Specialty Coffee in The Ultimate Guide to Eggs Benedict in Singapore

I really liked the laid back nature of this coffee shop with its rustic feeling wooden interior. Interested in trying the closest option on the menu to Eggs Royale I went for the subject dish. I really enjoyed the good quality smoked salmon and generous layer of guacamole. The eggs were a little under poached for my liking and of average quality. I enjoyed the chipotle mayonnaise and the depth it gave when mixed in with all the other flavours.

  • Toby's Estate in The Ultimate Guide to Eggs Benedict in Singapore

I really like the converted industrial feel and open seating nature of this place. Having bumped into a friend outside I was keen to try their Brooklyn Style Eggs Benedict ($19). The eggs were well poached and of good quality, combining really well with the delicious stewed beef and toasted brioche. Their in-house eggs benny sauce was a little too closely related to mayonnaise for me to truly enjoy its addition as much as I would have enjoyed a more traditional hollandaise sauce.

  • Rabbit Carrot Gun in The Ultimate Guide to Eggs Benedict in Singapore

This place certainly took me back in time a little to the gastro-pubs of London when I first entered. I went for their Eggs Benedict ($15) and really enjoyed their bacon on the toasted English muffins. The eggs were well poached but of medium quality and their hollandaise sauce looked great but was unfortunately a little flavourless in taste. A fresh side salad accompanied the dish but there was no dressing served on it which was a shame.

  • Penny University in The Ultimate Guide to Eggs Benedict in Singapore

I really likes the laid back theme of this place and was eager to try their Eggs Benedict. I opted for the salmon version as I'm not a big fan of turkey ham. I really enjoyed the toasted brioche base alongside their homemade hollandaise sauce which was delicious and came with a hint of citrus and mustard. The eggs were well poached but of medium quality and the smoked salmon wasn't full of flavour.

  • Oberstrasse in The Ultimate Guide to Eggs Benedict in Singapore

I went for their traditional Eggs Benedict and enjoyed the overall presentation of the dish. The eggs were slightly under-poached and of medium quality but the hollandaise sauce was good with a hint of citrus and spice to it. The ham was of decent quality and the English muffin base was fresh but I'd have preferred for it to have been toasted. Certainly one of the best value Eggs Benedict I've had in Singapore to date.

  • Brunches Cafe in The Ultimate Guide to Eggs Benedict in Singapore

I was recommended this place by a friend who lives in the area. Really welcomed by their quirky vintage decorations inside and friendly staff, I went for their Eggs Benedict ($15). The eggs were well poached on a toasted english muffin and I quickly noticed the fried mushrooms that weren't on the menu but came as a welcome surprise. Sadly for me, their streaky bacon wasn't of great quality and their homemade hollandaise sauce had little flavour and was not very liberally applied.

Really like the laid back nature of this venue alongside its very French theme. They serve up a good filter coffee to boot.

  • Skyve Wine Bistro in The Ultimate Guide to Eggs Benedict in Singapore

I went for the Salmon Polenta Eggs Benedict as I was intrigued to see how well the polenta base supported this traditional dish. Unfortunately I found the polenta a little lacking in flavour, too crumbly and extremely filling when served up with two thick pieces. I enjoyed the smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce but felt the eggs were a little under poached and not of great quality. Think I'd go for their other Eggs Benedict option next time.

  • Two Blur Guys in The Ultimate Guide to Burgers in Singapore

Their burgers are full of flavour and certainly hit the spot. I went for their Prime Beef Burger recently and found it to be a little too juicy / greasy for my liking; had to resort to knife and fork. I really liked their truffle mayonnaise and relish which certainly enhances the taste and would bring me back again. One of the better quick-turnaround gourmet burger offerings that I've come across in Singapore and I would definitely recommend to friends looking for inspiration on that front.
