Always a buzzing atmosphere on a Wednesday night! Best to try and reach the venue by 11pm otherwise it can be a long and slow moving queue.

Such an inspiring true to life biography of a Hawaiian legend who saved countless lives as a lifeguard while embellishing the aloha spirit. A waterman without equal.

Should be compulsory reading in UK schools. A fascinating and cleverly condensed history of Britain's influence on the modern world.

I read this book while sailing across the Atlantic so could quickly relate to the trials and tribulations of sailing solo around the world. Bernard Moitessier's tale proves that he is of a different breed to most!

I'm a big fan of Strangers Reunion and was very excited to hear about their latest offering on Prinsep Street; it certainly didn't disappoint. The modest entrance leads into a beautifully decorated modern interior with trendy lighting and ornate hanging plants. I went for their Pulled Pork on Sourdough ($22.50) which was bursting with colour and fresh flavours. I would have preferred a little more of a distinctive hollandaise sauce but otherwise I couldn't put this dish wrong.

Dedicated to internships and graduate jobs in Singapore. I created my internship job posting for free on their platform and received the detailed profile of five applicants a week later. We liked the look of three of the candidates and used our 20% special offer to arrange the interview stage with each. Following this quick and easy process we were really happy with the intern we took on board.

A great place to start your search for an intern. You quickly discover that you're not the only one who has gone down this path. The wealth of knowledge, contacts, and suggestions that this community can provide is often priceless.

The quickest and simplest port of call when looking to find a developer who might be able to help out. Also a great way to introduce yourself and your concept to the Hub's community.

Not sure what life would have been like for tech start-up founders before Google Analytics. It continues to amaze me what this service provides website owners for zero cost.

This is the first podcast series that I have listened to in its entirety. Loved the candour expressed throughout each episode alongside the emotional roller-coaster that truly reflects life in the start-up world. I'd recommend the first series of this podcast to anyone thinking about starting up a business of really any nature.

I originally saw this cafe while on the top deck of a bus heading towards the East Coast and made a note to try it out. I'm glad I did because their Free Range Eggs Benedict ($20) is one of the best I've tried in Singapore. I really enjoyed their high quality eggs which were very well poached, alongside the delicious bacon and really tasty hollandaise sauce. The roasted cherry tomatoes and side salad complimented a fantastic brunch.

I was really excited to try their eggs benedict having seen their rather unusual green curry hollandaise on the menu. The dish was beautifully presented and while the sight of green hollandaise sauce might put off a traditionalist, I became even more intrigued. The eggs were poached perfectly and had a golden runny yoke. I really enjoyed the addition of poached chicken, spinach and diced tomatoes. The hollandaise sauce itself added a gentle wasabi zest to what was am amazing blend of flavours.
